Old books. New life.

We at Lead Igloo embrace all things digital – we wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for the internet and so forth – but we are traditionalists of a sort. We still like to be able to hold the books we read, we like to be able to flick through their pages, underline, highlight, dog-ear, scribble in the margin. We like the pleasure – and occasionally the challenge – of reading the one and only book we have with us.

BiblioLife’s motto is ‘Old books. New life.’ They publish out of print and off copyright material. Our copies of R.F. Burton’s Pilgrimage and R.L. Stevenson’s The Wrecker are both from BiblioLife (formerly BiblioBazaar). The copy is stripped typo for typo straight from Project Gutenberg but they arrive in your mailbox bound and have curious cover designs and by all appearances look like books – texts book with copy printed on 80 gsm bright white but books nonetheless.

Without trying to sound like an infomercial or for this to read as a “Which is why we use…” advetorial (BL don’t know we’re plugging their wares), BiblioLife is good for picking up those books publishers and, consequently, the wider reading public have forgotten about.

Have a look around at BiblioLife. Their publications are also sold at Amazon.
